Canada Personal Trip Guide
Canada is a great destination for visitors from the USA as well as travellers from Asia looking for european style experiences. If flying in, you could start your entry either from Vancouver on the west coast or Toronto on the east coast. Drive up from Seattle to Vancouver takes about 1-2 hours including immigrations and customs. Takes similar time from Buffalo or Niagara falls to Toronto.
Trip overview
My first trip to Canada was a drive with my family from Seattle to Vancouver in a rental car. Stayed at a hotel in downtown Vancouver that had a gated parking lot (heard about car break-ins).
What was worth it
Stanley Park and Capilano Suspension Bridge were the top ones in my list. The totem poles in the Stanley Park were a great glimpse into the rich native culture and history of the region. The acquarium in the park was just a small ride using the maps, but it was still enjoyable. I strolled along the promenade and I was surprised to see seaplanes landing and taking off from nearby. The Capilano Suspension Bridge was a fun experience and the treetop walk was a great way to see the forest from above.
